The PhD in Nursing Science prepares students to become research leaders with focus on ending health disparities and advancing health equity.

Renowned for their clinical excellence and scientific expertise, our faculty hold advanced degrees not only in nursing but also in public health, psychology, medicine, nutrition, education, and administration. Our faculty has strong funding and expertise in the following areas: Social & Biological Determinants of Health, Chronic Disease (e.g., HIV), Acute & Critical Care, Mental Health/Substance Use, Family, Women & Child Health, Health Promotion & Prevention, and Sex & Gender Minority Health.
