Name/Credentials: María José Baeza Robba, BSN 

Research Interests: Intimate partner violence among vulnerable populations

Personal Biography: María José Baeza has a BSN from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, with a certificate in Mental Health and diploma in Family Health. Her primary clinical experience has been in acute mental health care.    

Ms. Baeza's academic interest in mental health promotion and assessment of intimate partner violence (IPV) among vulnerable populations. She started a Ph.D. in Nursing Science Program at SONHS in 2020, where she is preparing to become a researcher to study IPV among vulnerable populations.  She serves as a research assistant on the NIH-funded Florida Community Engagement Alliance against COVID-19 Disparities (FL-CEAL, 1OT2HL156812) The goal of the FL-CEAL is to establish effective, community-engaged strategies to enhance education, awareness, access, and inclusion of underserved communities in research designed to advance the prevention and treatment of COVID-19 and reduce COVID disparities in the state of Florida.
