Personal biography: Renae L. Patterson, MBA, BSN, RN, BCPA, PMP is a Licensed Registered Nurse, Board Certified Patient Advocate, Project Management Professional and CEO/Founder of UNIFIED H.I.N.T.S Corporation. She has a Master’s in Business Administration from Nova Southeastern University and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from “The U” – University of Miami Hurricanes. A Miami, Florida native, Renae has worked as a Registered Nurse since 1998, in various healthcare settings and roles throughout Miami-Dade and Broward Counties. Her experience includes pediatric emergency room, urgent care, home health, nursing education, AHCA compliance surveyor, risk management, clinical informatics, and information technology project management. Additionally, Renae has traveled throughout the United States as a healthcare information technology consultant for implementation of electronic health record systems. It is a combination of her professional and personal experiences that led her to becoming an entrepreneur and the birth of UNIFIED H.I.N.T.S Corporation, a healthcare technology company that offers a patient advocacy concierge service assisting patients and caregivers with collecting, organizing, and managing personal health information and important documents utilizing a secure software platform. Renae is committed to being a patient advocate and strives to enhance the quality of healthcare delivery for all.
